About this necklace
Whether displayed at your neckline or gracing your lapel, this lavishly decorated multi-layered jewel is sure to have all eyes on you. Hand fabricated in 18K gold, circa 1885, it is reminiscent of a butterfly in shape and is embellished with intricate hand engraving, black enamel tracery, and small scrolls. A fancy openwork overlay designed with cylindrical columns, curving ribbons of gold, and a trio of tiny seed pearls down its center, adds intriguing dimension, while a shimmering tassel* creates delightful motion below. Pendant/brooch is shown on a suggested 18-inch chain that can be purchased separately. *Tassel is removable.
