About this necklace

The lyrical name 'Madeira' means 'wood,' or 'timber' in Portuguese, and is the name of a Portuguese island where the country's famous port wine is produced. Madeira is also the name given to a variety of citrine that often has a reddish-orange-brown hue reminiscent of Portugal's sweet wine. This romantic Victorian necklace is enlivened by eight of the lushly colored gems. At its center, a 1.75 carat round citrine is encircled by a tiny 'necklace' of natural seed pearls, further surrounded by a fancy frame of lightly crafted scrolls, each corner accented with a single pearl. Four larger oval stones glimmer on each side, while three dangles add delightful motion. Cheers! Total citrine weight, 11.05 carats. Hand-fabricated in 14K yellow gold, the pendant suspends from a 20 inch chain.
