About this piece
"Monday's child is fair of face." So says the popular nursery rhyme first recorded in 1838 and, apparently, this child agrees. Designed by Beverly Hills' jeweler to the stars of Golden Age Hollywood (and later), William Ruser, the young child--mirror in hand-- kneels upon a shimmering free-form freshwater pearl gazing upon her/himself with bright blue sapphire eyes. The mid-century equivalent of a selfie. Crafted in 14K gold, he/she towers 1 3/8 inches tall.
