Although virtually de rigueur during the 1920s-1930s days of Art Deco, you don't see many double clip brooches from the 1940s Retro period, and this beauty exhibits a perfect blending of the two styles. Undulating, multi-dimensional bows, tied up with sparkling diamond-set ribbons, join forces in the center while ribbons outlined with synthetic rubies* flare outward, all of which are artfully hand sculpted in radiant 18K rosy-yellow gold. Whether worn together as a brooch, or separately as clips, these twin baubles are fabulous. *Back in the day, due to their uniformity of color and flawless clarity, synthetic rubies were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, besides the fact that the virtually undetectable differences are only discernible with a microscope.
