About this piece
A colorful confection of pretty things. This late-Victorian/Edwardian brooch (circa turn-of-the-20th century) presents swirling gold stems, a trio of enameled pansies, and bright green enamel leaves that form an openwork frame--accented with rose and mine-cut diamonds--around a crisply sparkling cluster of diamonds, an old mine-cut encircled by single cuts. A few sprigs tipped with diamonds and cabochon rubies add extra color and twinkle to the playful mix of elements. Hand fabricated in 14K rose gold, it creates a little party wherever you pin it. Total diamond weight, .73 carat. Condition note: one petal has a shallow chip in the enamel.
