About this necklace

Time. It seems that we never have enough or we have too little, and its importance is such that we often create extraordinary works of art to assist us in marking the minutes and hours. This is one of those art pieces. Created around 1901, by the Elgin Watch Company of Elgin, Illinois (founded in 1864), the front of this splendid pendant watch is overlaid by 18K gold decorated with repousee-like scrolls and sparkling along its edges with lively old mine and European-cut diamonds. The center is brightened by rich terracotta-colored enamel and marquise diamonds that shine around a European cut, while the reverse reveals an understated watch face with fancy hands. Utterly exquisite, it has a 15-jewel movement and suspends from a new 14K gold 20-inch chain by way of an ornate bail. Total diamond weight - .60 carat. Watch Care and Warranty.
