About these earrings
Jean Michel Schlumberger began designing for Tiffany & Co. in 1956 and had his own workshop there until his retirement in the late 1970s. In the words of Diana Vreeland, a French-American fashion columnist and editor, Schlumberger "appreciates the miracle of jewels. For him, they are the ways and means to the realization of his dreams." These 18K yellow gold rope earrings are "miraculously" as chic today as they were when Schlumberger designed them in 1959.
