Imbued with an exceptionally vibrant and lively hue, yet emeralds were described by Roman naturalist Pliny the Elder as restoring the eyes of gem cutters, their "green color comforting and removing their weariness and lassitude." That's the beauty—and paradox—of emeralds: strong in color, soothing to the eye and soul. The electric bluish-green hue of the 1.21 carat marquise emerald in this estate pendant is enhanced by a trio of marquise diamonds that create a sparkling leaf-like design above it. The elegant composition is suspended from a ball chain, adding a chic contemporary twist to a classic design that is, at once, invigorating and calming. Total diamond weight, .25 carat. Crafted in platinum. Chain measures 15 3/4 inches. GIA gemological report states: Colombia, origin. Clarity enhanced (F1).
