About these earrings
George Kunz is remembered as America's first gemologist, and in 1879, Tiffany & Co., recognizing his rock-hound skills, hired him as its gem expert. Preferring semi-precious stones to diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires, Kunz often identified and named newly discovered gems. Bearing a lovely light rose-pink hue, the enchanting Kunzite stones in these estate earrings were named after Kunz, who was the first to describe them in 1902. The delightful drops feature pastel pink pear-shaped stones set in halos of lively round brilliant-cut diamonds that dance beneath complementing tops, all set in bright 18K gold and ready to add gemological wonder to your ears.
