About this ring

Per the company's website, the history of Chatham lab-grown emeralds dates back to the mid-20th century, when Carroll Chatham, the company's founder, successfully grew the first gem-quality emerald in his parents' San Francisco garage. From those humble beginnings, Chatham lab-grown emeralds—chemically, physically, and optically identical to their mined counterparts—have become known for their excellent color and overall appearance. This ring, reminiscent of a seafloor organism, features a rough synthetic emerald, surrounded by a swirl of textured kelp-like leaves (extending from the shank) and asymmetrically accented in sparkle by a round brilliant-cut diamond and five single-cut stones. A dynamic composition of elements courtesy of the earth and man's ingenuity. In 14K yellow gold, it is currently ring size 6 1/2.
