A mesmerizing gem, cat's eye chrysoberyl's popularity reached new heights in the 19th Century after the Duke of Connaught, apparently quite an original fellow, presented his fiancée with a cat’s eye betrothal ring. The glowing 2.09 carat khaki-colored stone in this arresting estate ring crowns a dome of glittering round brilliant-cut diamonds and is accented east and west by icy-white, flashing tapered baguettes, all supported by a substantial platinum shank. Total diamond weight, 1.52 carats. Currently ring size 4 3/4. Note: this ring cannot be sized down.
