About this bracelet
Whether in metal or with pearls, Edwardian jewelers were masters at creating lovely lace-like creations. In this luminous bracelet, small natural pearls are ingeniously woven together with platinum wire, culminating in an elegantly pierced focal piece set with rose-cut diamonds and centered by a velvety 1.35 carat, deep blue no-heat Cambodian* sapphire. King Edward VII's wife and fashion icon, Queen Alexandra, was known for adorning her neck with layers of pearls. We think the look is just as captivating around the wrist—don't you? Total diamond weight, .55 carat. Hand fabricated, circa 1910, the bracelet measures just over 7 inches. GIA gemological report for sappphire states: No indications of heating. Cambodia, origin. *Of all sapphires, the silken, velvety quality and deep cobalt blue hue of Pailin (Cambodia) sapphires most resemble the rarest prized sapphires from Kashmir and Burma.
