About this necklace
Evocative of dragonfly wings (a classic motif of the period, circa 1900), this light and airy Edwardian lavalière, artfully hand fabricated in platinum over 14K yellow gold, sparkles with four bright white European-cut diamonds, a smattering of tiny twinkling Swiss-cut diamonds, and culminates in a freely swinging, lustrous white freshwater 'wing' pearl. Utterly lovely. It measures just shy of 1 5/8 inches in both directions. The newer platinum chain measures 18 inches.
