About this ring
A rare and wondrous gemstone: a 1.60 carat natural, no-heat sapphire of Burmese origin, centers this exquisite jewel dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century. The gemmy royal blue cushion-cut is aided and abetted north and south by bright icy-white European-cut diamonds (together weighing .85 carat) along with an intricately hand pierced crown aglitter with an array of small rose-cut and European-cut diamonds. Expertly hand fabricated in platinum, an open scroll under gallery and delicate millegraining add fine finishing flourishes to this exemplary Edwardian/early-Art Deco trophy ring. Total diamond weight, 1.40 carat. Currently ring size 8 1/4. Accompanied by a GIA Gemological Report stating: Natural, No Indications of Heating; Geographic origin - Burma (Myanmar).
