About this ring
An elongated oval or elongated antique cushion-cut, however you see it there is no denying the distinctive old world elegance (early-20th century that is) evoked by this distinctively stunning diamond ring, by Boucheron, Paris. Weighing 3.84 carats, the icy-white stone (accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: G color - SI2 clarity) is classically presented between a pair of gleaming white baguette diamonds, all of which are simply set in platinum. Understated elegance par excellence. Currently ring size 5 1/4. Caveat: due to the unique cut of the stone (note the prominent open culet), we aren't entirely sure of its vintage - early or later 20th century. Whether it is the original stone of the mounting or a later replacement, or even perhaps a slight re-cut of the original stone is an unresolved question. Nonetheless, its dazzling beauty is an undisputed certainty!
