Millegraining is an extremely tiny beaded detail that finishes an edge on a piece of jewelry, adding subtle texture and shimmer. In this effervescent Edwardian jewel, every edge of the elegant openwork dome is detailed with millegrain, and twinkles throughout with European- and Swiss-cut diamonds. Across its top, a trio of bright white European-cut diamonds creates an arc of sparkling light, while a single diamond adorns each shoulder. A luminous beauty. Total diamond weight, 1.58 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa the 1920s-30s, it is currently ring size 6 3/4. Condition note: three small diamonds have a chip.
