About this ring
No surface of this exquisite Art Deco ring was untouched by its masterful jeweler. Sparkling across its top with a trio of deliciously chunky old mine-cut diamonds (total weight, 1.35 carats), the gallery is intricately hand engraved and dotted with tiny diamonds. The shoulders are decorated with pairs of square deep cornflower blue synthetic* sapphires and lead to a shank fully hand engraved on three sides, while millegrain edging adds subtle detail and a touch of texture. Total diamond weight, 1.45 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, it is currently ring size 8 1/2-. GIA Grading Report for the largest diamond (.99 carat) states: N color, I1 clarity. *Back in the day, circa 1920s-30s, due to their uniformity of color and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, besides the fact that the virtually undetectable differences are only discernible with a microscope.
