Each diamond is surrounded by a beveled diamond-set frame supported by a gracefully scrolled under gallery. The shoulders, accented with deep blue calibre-cut synthetic* sapphires arrayed in an arrow motif, lead to a ring shank fully hand-engraved on three sides, all adding the finishing flourishes to this impressive, almost one-inch-long super sparkler. Total diamond weight, 2.50 carats Currently ring size 5 1/2. *Circa the 1920s-30s, synthetic sapphires--because of their color consistency and flawless clarity--were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, the differences between the two discernible only with a microscope and trained eye.
