About this piece
A slender dash of ornament, bar pins were popular during the Art Deco era (circa the 1920s-30s), easily complementing the elegant lines and non-frilly fashion of the moment. This 2 1/2-inch-long pin, hand-fabricated in luminous platinum, is brightened by a single sapphire, embellished with stylized flowers, and hand engraved to create subtle texture, while two European-cut diamonds add light and sparkle. Try creating a pin collage by pairing it with others. Pin stem is 14K yellow gold. Total sapphire weight, .25 carat.
