Art Deco Rock Crystal, Sapphire, Pearl and Diamond Earrings

Fascinating! Reminiscent of enchanted genie bottles, there's a lot going on in these intriguing original Art Deco dangles--a compilation of many pretty components perfectly fitted together. Beginning at the bottom, frosted rock crystal half beads carved with tiny cross motifs, bright rock crystal roundels, and cabochon sapphire caps are threaded with sapphire-tipped wires that pass through slender cylinders encrusted all around with tiny glittering rose cut diamonds. The distinctive drops connect to luminous half-pearls intersected by diamond-set roundels, all of which are joined to sweeping ear wires. Rare and ravishing one-of-a-kind wonders. Total diamond weight - 1.50 carats, total sapphire weight - 5.05 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1920 (ear wires are 14K yellow gold), they are accompanied by their original box, printed inside with "The Eastbourne Jewellers & Silversmiths, 27 Termunus Rd, Eastbourne" (England).
