A conundrum: This sleek neoclassical Art Deco dazzler is either a superb reproduction of a 1920's Art Deco engagement ring, or an original set with tiny modern cut melee. Whatever the case, it is beautifully and substantially crafted in platinum an features an utterly original 1920's vintage European-cut diamond weighing 1.04 carats. The scintillating stone is secured and accentuated in outline by a four-cornered setting embraced on each side by stylized diamond-set V-shaped shoulders. Delicate millegraining and decorative hand-engraving throughout add the finishing flourishes to this sophisticated and stately ultra-sparkler. Although graded I1 clarity, the inclusion is cleverly and effectively hidden under a prong (you can't see it!). Currently ring size 5 1/2.
