About this piece
With a gracefully curving form, this elegant openwork Art Deco bar pin of 18K white gold is boldly contrasted at its center by a glistening 1.35 carat deep red-wine garnet (presumably a later replacement for a diamond). Adding flashes of light, an old mine/transitional European-cut diamond sparkles east and west, while millegrain detailing throughout adds finishing textured detail to this linear beauty. Total diamond weight, .70 carat. Hand fabricated by Newark, New Jersey jeweler Crane and Theurer.
