A bright-white and sparkling .65 carat bezel-set European-cut diamond centers 'folded' and beautifully pierced diamond-set ribbons accented with vibrant royal blue calibre synthetic* sapphires, in this strikingly designed Art Deco pendant (formerly a brooch). A unique and artful Jazz Age jewel, hand fabricated in platinum. Total diamond weight, 2.90 carats. *Back in the day, circa the 1920s-30s, synthetic sapphires--because of their flawless clarity and color consistency--were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, their differences discernible only with a microscope. Chain measures 18 inches.
