About this piece
A superb and stunning platinum, diamond and calibre sapphire brooch from the zenith of the Art Deco period - circa 1925. The elegantly modeled oval sweeps upward in the center, culminating in a .65 carat European-cut diamond sparkling from within a sharply scalloped sapphire frame. The center section is adorned all around by a series of stylized diamond-set 'V' motifs, each of which cups a calibre sapphire-set triangle, and all of which are encircled by a slender frame of diamonds. This sublime Art Deco jewel measures 1 3/8 inches by 1 inch. The pin mechanism on the reverse is yellow gold.
