About this necklace
The emerald cut is an elegant, often rectangular, step-cut design with long parallel mirror-like facets. In this bold and utterly alluring Art Deco pendant (formerly a brooch), the faceting of the gorgeous, 18.75 carat, deep cerulean-hued Santa Maria' color aquamarine (about as fine as they come) creates nuanced shades of blue as the light strikes it with every move you make. Crowned with a characteristic geometric Deco element—shimmering with round brilliant-cut diamonds, of course—the pendant suspends from a fine cable chain that adjusts from 16 to 18 inches. Jazz Age chic at your service. Total diamond weight, .40 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum. *From the GIA website: Named after the Santa Maria de Itabira mine in Brazil, where some of the finest specimens were discovered, this gemstone is renowned for its exquisite blue color that mirrors the clear skies and pristine waters of a tropical paradise.
