Electric color, lots of sparkle and a captivating cornucopia of stone shapes coalesce to create this sleek and sexy Art Deco pendant necklace from Austria(!), circa 1920s. A vivid raspberry-red 1.90 carat natural, no-heat oval Burmese ruby is embellished above with an elegantly elongated kite-shape and triangle-shaped diamonds and below with a bright baguette, all of which are framed by tiny twinkling single-cuts. A square-cut synthetic* ruby gleams at the top of this delightful combination, while a trio of drops--set with diamonds and synthetic rubies--dangle below. Total diamond weight - 1.00 carat, total synthetic ruby weight - .95 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum, it suspends from an 18-inch chain (bail is new). *Original to the piece and used for their color consistency and flawless clarity.
