The top is an elegantly shaped dome of fine piercing work that creates an array of shapes, all glittering with single-cut diamonds and forming a luminous backdrop for the lively 1.01 carat European-cut center diamond. Midnight-blue calibre synthetic* sapphires add accents of striking color to this captivating composition. Total diamond weight, 1.34 carats. Die-struck in platinum, circa 1920s-30s, it is currently ring size 8 1/4. GIA Diamond Grading Report states: L color - SI1 clarity. *Original to the period and to the piece, synthetic sapphires were used for their color consistency and flawless clarity.
