Art Deco 1.00 Carat Asscher-Cut Diamond and Natural Pearl Bracelet

An octagonal 1.00 carat square-cut diamond (aka Asscher-cut) gleams and glistens in the center of this dreamy early-Art Deco bracelet, dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century. The scintillating stone is geometrically framed by glittering single-cut diamonds punctuated by four small royal blue triangular synthetic* sapphires, all of which center a lithe and lovely bracelet woven of lustrous natural pearls on platinum wire. A fabulously feminine Art Deco-era jewel. Total diamond weight, 1.20 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum (tongue on clasp is 18K), it measures 6 7/8 inches. *Circa the 1920s-30s, synthetic sapphires--because of their color consistency and flawless clarity--were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, the differences between the two discernible only with a microscope and trained eye.
