Fleet of foot, the Greek God Hermes (Mercury in Roman mythology) wore a winged helmet and sandals that enabled him to swiftly fly between mortal and immortal realms. Pictured here in one of his more stationary moments, Hermes is carved intaglio in an 11.75 carat light golden yellow citrine, supported by a bold, yet ultra fancy and lacy filigree gallery that leads to a sleek fluted shank. Mythic. Hand fabricated in 14K yellow gold, circa 1900, it is currently ring size 9.
