Evocative of a gracefully swirling vine, or maybe a stylized hot air balloon, this distinctively stunning late-Victorian pendant hints at the Art Nouveau movement that waits just around the corner. Aglitter with lively old mine, European, and Swiss cut diamonds, its intriguing asymmetrical design highlights a trio of light-loving European cut diamonds (total weight, .90 carat), while a diamond-set drop dances below. Hand fabricated in silver over 14K gold, it boasts an unusual provenance--Prague, according to the hallmarks. This rare and ravishing pendant can also be worn as a brooch by attaching its pin finding. Total diamond weight, 2.70 carats. Chain measures 18 inches.
